What do I need before I can use Fotomoto?
Please see What you need in order to use Fotomoto.
Can I use Fotomoto on my site? Where do I start?
First check our How page to see if Fotomoto works with the system you use to build your website, then click on the appropriate link to find instructions on how to install Fotomoto. You can find all the info you'll need in Getting started with Fotomoto.
Should I create a Fotomoto account before I choose what service I'll use for my website?
No - some services like Crevado, RapidWeaver will create a Fotomoto account for you automatically, so if possible save yourself the time and effort by choosing the service you'll use first.
I have installed Fotomoto, but I am not seeing the "Buy Buttons" under my image.
This means that Fotomoto is not installed correctly on your website, or there is a conflict between your code and Fotomoto's. Please see Missing the Fotomoto Buy Buttons?.
Do I need to install the Fotomoto Script on every page of my site or just on the pages where I sell images?
We highly recommend that you install the Fotomoto Script site-wide, because when someone adds an image to their cart, we show a persistent link to their shopping cart when they visit other pages on the site. That won't work if the Fotomoto Script isn't installed on other pages.
Only some of the images on my site appear in my Dashboard
The Fotomoto loads images in to your Dashboard when your web page is viewed in a browser, so try re-loading your web page and check again.
Do you host my website?
No. Fotomoto is designed to be used on your existing photo website. Please see How Fotomoto works on your site - no upload needed until a customer orders for an overview of how Fotomoto works with images on your site. If you need a hosted service, please check out the list of applications that Fotomoto works with.
Do you recommend any hosting services?
Yes! For ease-of-use we recommend using one of the Fotomoto-compatible services that will host your website for you. Please see our How page for a list of recommended services.
Can I use Fotomoto on more than one website?
Yes! Pro Plus plan subscribers can have multiple "stores" (one for each website) within a single Fotomoto account. Please see Add another website to your Fotomoto account. Alternately you can have multiple separate Fotomoto accounts all on the Free plan, but it's much more convenient to manage multiple stores from a single account.
How do I log in to my Fotomoto account?
Go to www.fotomoto.com and use the Log In button at the top right. You might want to bookmark the login page for future use.
How can I change product options for a single image?
Please see our Set product and pricing options article.
I signed up for a Fotomoto account but didn't get my registration email...what do I do?
First, please check to see if our account activation email got caught in a SPAM filter. If not, try resetting your password using the "Forgot Password" link at http://my.fotomoto.com/. If you still aren't receiving our emails, you might have entered the wrong email address when you signed up. Please contact us and we'll be happy to help.
I've lost my Fotomoto account password...what do I do?
Please visit the Login page, click the "Forgot Password" link and follow the instructions.
How do I upload my images to Fotomoto?
To get started, there is no need to upload! See How Fotomoto works on your site - no upload needed until a customer orders. The only time you might need to upload images is after a customer places an order.
Does Fotomoto support languages other than English?
We realize that multiple language support is very important for our international users, and while you can make the Buy links appear in whatever language you like, the shopping cart is all in English for now.
Does Fotomoto work with password-protected private galleries?
Yes! Fotomoto will need to be able to access the images on your site though, so if they are not public, please see How do I use Fotomoto with password-protected sites?
Do you offer an API?
Yes! You can read more at Getting Started with the Fotomoto API.
Where is the Fotomoto Dashboard?
You can log in to the Fotomoto Dashboard directly at https://my.fotomoto.com/ , or use the "Log In" link at the top of https://www.fotomoto.com/.
