Important: Gallery 2 is no longer under active development and we have dropped support for it. The instructions below are available for legacy purposes.
What you'll need
You should have Gallery 2 installed on a server and have access to the file system on the server. You'll also need to have a Fotomoto account. If you don't have one, you can Sign Up here.
Copy the Fotomoto Script
Go to the Settings page of the Fotomoto Dashboard, and make sure Gallery 2 is selected under Publishing Platform, then click the Get Script button and copy the Fotomoto Script.
Disable Template Caching
Bring up the Admin Options menu by clicking Site Admin (1) from the Gallery banner, then click the Performance (2) link under the Admin Options menu.
Uncheck the Enable template caching (3) box, then click the Save and Clear Saved Pages (4) buttons.
Check your Theme
From the same Admin Options menu, click the Themes link, and make a note of < your Theme Name > , you will being going to this directory next.
Open theme.tpl
Navigate to the template directory within your Gallery installation folder and open theme.tpl. The directory will likely be on your server under ../gallery/<yourThemeName>/templates/theme.tpl.
Copy and Paste the Script
Find the </body> tag and copy and paste in your Fotomoto Script, then save the file.
Success!
Your Gallery site should now have the Fotomoto Buy Buttons added under every picture. Don't forget to re-enable template caching after you are done.
If you don't see the Buy Buttons, contact Fotomoto Support.
What now?
Now that you've installed Fotomoto on your site, you might want to read our article "I've installed Fotomoto - now what?".
Known Issues
- By default, Gallery 2 uses dynamic URLs which are *not* currently compatible with Auto Pickup.
