Once you have installed Fotomoto you'll want to be ready to accept orders, so here are a few things we suggest you do:
Make sure you understand how Fotomoto works with images on your site - this is a "must read" article to help you understand how Fotomoto works on your website.
Remove Buy Buttons from certain images - by default, Fotomoto will make all the images on your site available for purchase. If that is not what you want, please read How do I exclude a photo from my store?.
Select which print sizes you want to sell. First you'll want to read about the Print size options that determine which sizes will be shown to your customers, then you'll want to make sure you've turned off any print sizes that are larger than your images can support - please see How to calculate the biggest print sizes you should sell.
You'll probably want to place an order for test prints so you can a) experience the print quality for yourself and b) understand the purchase process that your customer will go through - see How to order prints and products at cost.
Learn about how payments work in Fotomoto so you can set your prices appropriately and get the profit you expect. See How can I get paid for the products I sell using Fotomoto?
Learn about our sharing features - Fotomoto has some great tools that help you promote your work. Read up on what eCards are, and how to Promote your work using Coupons.
Want to automate the order fulfillment process? Read about Using Auto Pickup to find your print files automatically. This feature is a game-changer for high-volume sellers, as Fotomoto can automatically pick up the high resolution files that we need to create your products - this saves you from having to manually upload high resolution images to us. Also great if you need to fulfill orders while you're traveling and can't immediately get to your print-ready images.
Customize your Buy Buttons - you can make the Fotomoto Buy Buttons look however you like! You're not stuck with regular ol' blue underlined links; you can use CSS to make your buttons match your site.
You might want to watermark your images to display your copyright, URL or branding. Fotomoto works nicely with your watermarked images, and no, the watermarks don't have to show up on your prints. See How to use Fotomoto with watermarked images
Add another website to your Fotomoto account - you can sell images from multiple websites using a single Fotomoto account. Why not put everything under one roof?
